Accessibility

Our intention is to make our website as accessible as possible to the end user. In order to provide you with the end user experience that you deserve. We have tried to considered all users specific needs. Our site aims to meet best practices guidelines with appropriate functionality for all users systems.

The benefits of this approach:

We meet guidelines for those users who may normally find impairments and difficulties using the web. Our site and its content are available to the  largest possible audience, covering a wide range of technologies. It will also be accessible to future technological developments. The site loads at a greater speed and uses less bandwidth.

We achieve this by:

We follow what are known as ‘Web Standards. In the past many web browsers were published that did not follow a common standard for interpreting web pages; they focused on their own code of priorities. Several different versions of one site had to be made for all the various browsers and there would often be inconsistencies across these sites.

In recent years the makers of web browsers have adopted and are supporting and backing the creation of an open set of standards. These standards are laid down by the W3C, anot-for-profit organisation that oversees the development of the web.

There is now a movement towards this standard-based approach to building websites and STM Nummos is proud to aid in the establishment of the use of this method.
